My name is Andriy. In 2012, I received a B.Sc. degree with honours in Computer Engineering from "Sapienza" – University of Rome, Italy. In 2015, I received an M.Sc. degree with honours in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics from the same university. In 2020, I received a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Between 2018 and 2020, I was a visiting scholar at the Dynamic Systems Lab in the University of Toronto, AiR Lab in Aarhus University and AIR Lab in Singapore University of Technology and Design. Between 2020 and 2022, I was a Senior Scientist at the Munich School of Robotics and Machine Intelligence in the Technical University of Munich where I led the research at Flying Systems Arena and Underwater Systems Lab. Between 2022 and 2023, I was a Presidential Postdoctoral Fellow and Principal Investigator at Nanyang Technological University working on the continual learning and evolution for aerial robots. Since December 2023, I am an Assistant Professor with Tenure Track at Aarhus University. In the last years, I worked on a number of industrial and academic projects related to the control of unmanned aerial vehicles. During my Ph.D. period, I was a recipient of the Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) and multiple travel grants for international conferences. Besides, I am an Associate Editor of Computers and Electrical Engineering and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). My research primarily focuses on the fusion between aerial robotics and machine learning. |
